Pat and the team at Bando PT helped me work through a hamstring strain during half marathon training. They got me back up and running in time for my race, and feeling good enough to beat my goal time. Thanks!
Dr. Connor Ryan is and has been such a blessing during my recovery process from a herniated disc. He is great to be around and amazing in his work, 10/10 definitely worth every penny!
Meeting Dr. Connor Ryan has been absolutely life-changing. I dealt with chronic right ankle pain for 10 years and no one else was able to diagnose or explain to me what was going on in my body. Over the last year and a half that pain started spreading into both hips, my neck and shoulders. Most recently I developed plantar fasciitis on the opposite side in my left foot. I was in debilitating pain and would sit with bags of ice on my body for long periods of time. I’ve been a fitness enthusiast and trained to the max for 20 years. I thought that I knew everything there was to know about exercise. Conor took everything I know and flipped it on its head. After my first treatment with Connor, I felt relief. Using dry needling, deep tissue massage, and a solid exercise plan I’ve been able to reduce all my pain to an afterthought within six months. It’s been a big job and very overwhelming at first, but I can genuinely say that I would never would’ve gotten this far without him. My treatment is ongoing, but I have complete faith and trust in Connor that it will all be worth it in the end!
Such a pleasure working with Chris P. to get my daughter back to playing on the court. Chris is super knowledgeable, personable and patient. He worked well with my daughter's trainer to maximize progress. At-home assignments between sessions were clearly communicated, and Chris was super-responsive with any questions we had.
Chris is the best in the business and definitely the guy you want to go see if you need to get back to 100%. At the beginning of the summer I came in with nagging tendonitis in my right knee, and after working with him for two months, he helped me get back to feeling better than ever before and prepared for my season by the time I left at the end of the summer! I really appreciate Bando for setting me up with him. Bando truly has access to the best of the best in terms of staff, equipment, and facilities. Whether you're looking for PT, rehab, or strength training it is all-around the best place to go!
At 40 years old, I went to Chris after struggling with lower back pain and recurrent injuries for over 2 years. I had seen three different PT's, each highly recommended by other specialists, and I was unable to really return to full activity for very long. For context I have been an athlete my whole life (college hockey), but took a ~5 year hiatus for professional development and got injured early in a planned return to higher levels of activity (Jiu Jitsu, CrossFit). Chris came recommended from a close friend (a very talented PT himself, who said that Chris was the best he knew). Chris is just incredibly professional. His coaching was clear and precise. His explanations were incredibly thorough. With his coaching I have now been back to sustained high intensity exercise for over 6 months. I have recorded PRs in my deadlift, clean, and front and back squat, and am probably in the best shape of my life. Not for nothing, but he is also a friendly guy and easy to chat with during breaks in exercise. I have since recommended Chris to half a dozen people in my area (of Maine) as I can't think of a barrier (even a 2 hour drive) to get this level of therapy.
Dr. Ryan is fantastic. His breadth of knowledge is remarkable. He listens, assesses, and problem solves every step of rehab process. Dr. Ryan helped me get back on my feet, in my mid 50's, after a series of injuries created problems that seemed unsolvable. Very grateful for his care and treatment.
I got elbow surgery last spring and was never able to completely straighten my arm. I went in for a session with Dr. Connor Ryan and my elbow has never felt better. Within a week we were seeing improvement with how straight it was getting. Connor is also a great person and super easy to talk to. 5 stars no doubt.
Having dealt with injuries for the last four years and worked with physical therapists across the United States and abroad, I understand fully what goes into a recovery. Dr. Connor Ryan is incomparable to anyone I’ve worked with. I wouldn’t even call him a physical therapist — he is an expert in recovery and medicine who understands the body as a complete system. He knows that one injury is rarely just one injury. He understands that your body needs to function as a whole for you to feel the way you want to feel, and to return to the things you love to do — that sense of freedom that everyone deserves. That is the place Connor will get you to. In just a few months of working with him, I’ve experienced more progress than I had in the four years prior. Having an injury can make you feel incredibly lost. You need someone you trust — someone you have real faith in. Connor Ryan is that person. He is understanding, empathetic, personable, and an absolute joy to work with. I plan to leave another review when I return to lifting weights, throwing a baseball, and doing the things I love. But I couldn’t wait until then to say: if you are serious about recovering and returning to your life, I would recommend Connor Ryan to anyone.
I cannot recommend our physical therapist, Chris Poirier, highly enough. Over the past few months, he has worked with my son as he recovered from a fractured patella and the care he provided was exceptional! From day one, he took the time to understand my son's specific needs and created a personalized plan that helped him steadily regain strength, mobility, and confidence. He was incredibly patient, kind, encouraging, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Chris' communication was outstanding. He always kept us informed, answered questions promptly, and made sure both my son and our family understood each stage of recovery. Chris was also exceptional at coordinating with everyone involved in my son's recovery, keeping his orthopedic doctor, hockey coach, and school athletic trainer informed and on the same page. Having all members of Hudson's team working together made a tremendous difference in his recovery and return to sports. He consistently provided exercises and PT activities to work on between sessions, which helped accelerate his progress and kept him motivated between appointments. Beyond his expertise, Chris was also flexible, accommodating, and genuinely invested in my son's success. It was clear that he cared not just about the injury, but about helping my son return to the activities he loves. We are so grateful for everything Chris has done and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone in need of physical therapy. He is truly outstanding at what he does!
Connor is the man! Spends a ton of time with you, has a huge toolbox to help you, and examines the problem from all angles.
Very happy with Bando Performance Physical Therapy, and especially the physical therapist I worked with, Dr. Patrick Fogarty. The Bando Performance PT area is well equipped with the tools to provide thorough therapeutic treatment. And Patrick Fogarty is very good at diagnosing, fully understanding, and creating a cumulative treatment program necessary for a patient to recover from the underlying conditions causing pain and limitations. Excellent communication with Patrick and the staff at Bando, and the friendly nature of all of them, really create an environment for successful treatment. In addition, the 90 minute sessions allow for much less rushed treatments, instruction, and general communication, resulting in a more successful and fulfilling outcome. I definitely recommend Bando Performance Physical Therapy and Dr. Patrick Fogarty for treatment of musculoskeletal problems.
Jill was fantastic to work with. She was warm, personable, and highly professional from the start. I came in with a knee issue I had been dealing with for a while, and she did an excellent job assessing it thoroughly, ruling out possible causes, and identifying what was actually going on. She explained everything clearly, which gave me a lot of confidence in the process. She then created a personalized program that fit both my needs and schedule, making it realistic to follow consistently. Her follow-up and check-ins were outstanding, and it was clear she genuinely cared about my progress. I highly recommend Jill to anyone looking for thoughtful, knowledgeable, and effective physical therapy care.
Working with Jillian has been great! She’s super bright and welcoming, which was so helpful my first time in and her genuine level of care is really refreshing to experience. She listens to my overall health concerns (not just my knee!) and after looking at the full picture, gives me knowledgeable advice that has really impacted my recovery. She is super attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure that I am comfortable and have a solid understanding of what my recovery plan looks like. I really appreciate the overall approach that Bando has in their PT program and I highly recommend Jillian to anyone looking to get serious about their recovery and work with a trusted team!
My nine-year-old daughter’s figure skating coach recommended that she make an appointment with Pat, after fracturing her collarbone in an unrelated accident. Pat was incredibly kind and thorough - he made PT enjoyable and manageable for our very active (but sidelined) little girl! He was always reachable via text, and very generous with his time. We would absolutely return, should the need arise! Thanks, Pat!
Jill is top notch, i have known her for years and recently watched her work her craft. Very well organized and detailed work, i would recommend her to anyone!
My teenage son suffered a concussion in a hockey game, and Chris did an amazing job working him through a protocol and getting him safely back on the ice. We highly recommend him and the entire team at Bando!
My daughter first connected with Pat through an evaluation he offered at our local skating club, and it has been such a positive experience for both of us. The convenience of having his office right in the skating facility is fantastic, but what truly stands out is Pat’s expertise and care. My 12-year-old daughter had been dealing with persistent ankle pain related to skating. After evaluating her, Pat identified that she had an older injury and needed to build strength and stability in her ankles to support the demands of skating both on and off the ice. Over the past few months she has made tremendous progress. She used to complain about ankle pain almost daily, and now she has mostly pain-free weeks. If she tweaks it occasionally, Pat helps get her right back on track. She still goes twice a month and genuinely enjoys going, which says a lot for a middle schooler. Pat is wonderful with her, and the other PTs in the facility are always encouraging and supportive of her progress. After seeing the impact Pat had with my daughter, I mentioned a long-standing issue of my own. I had a skiing accident three years ago and had never been able to return to running without sharp calf pain. I used to run 5–6 miles several days a week, but every attempt to start again would bring the pain right back. After working with Pat, I’ve seen remarkable improvement in a short period of time. Pat was able to pinpoint the issue quickly and gave me targeted treatment and exercises to work on between sessions. While I’m not back to full mileage yet, I’ve been able to start interval training again completely pain-free. What really sets Pat apart is the time and attention he gives each patient. Sessions are about an hour, which is very different from most PT experiences I’ve had, and he truly takes the time to understand your goals and tailor the work to you. Pat’s specialty in helping runners get healthy and return to sport has been exactly what I needed, but he clearly has the expertise to support athletes and active people of all kinds. Most importantly, you never feel like just another appointment on the schedule. Pat genuinely cares about helping you heal and get back to doing what you love. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
Pat has helped me effectively rehab my shoulders in a very short timeframe as I prepare for my powerlifting competition. I’ve really appreciated his guidance and communication throughout this process to make sure he addresses all my issues and leaves me feeling better than when I arrived every time!
I can’t say enough great things about Jill Battista. I initially came to her with an injury, but what started as recovery quickly evolved into training for my first half marathon at 50+. Throughout the entire training process, she has kept me moving and feeling better, constantly adjusting her treatment approach to meet my changing needs. What really sets her apart is how individualized her approach is—she creates thoughtful strength and mobility programs tailored specifically to my weaknesses, which has made a noticeable difference in both my performance and injury prevention. Beyond her expertise, she is simply a pleasure to spend time with. She’s relatable, genuine, and brings a refreshing level of honesty and realness to every session. She truly understands the emotional side of dealing with injuries, while still keeping you motivated, focused, and moving forward. I’m so grateful for her guidance and support, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and motivating physical therapist.
We love Jill. She has become a friend as well as the PT. She is amazing. Highly recommend to any and every one
I went there with chronic plantar fasciitis(almost a year). The therapist- Jill Battista-was amazing! She recommended shock wave therapy and we did about 4-6 treatments. It worked beautifully. I am about a year out now and still doing really well. No pain! I would highly recommend this facility. Everyone there was great and the location is perfect with plenty of free parking. I would definitely go back to this facility and Jill again if I ever needed more PT.
Amazing shockwave therapy that has helped heal my plantar fasciitis for swimming and running. Has really helped me get back in for Tri training and has helped many of the swimmer on my team recover quickly and come back stronger!
I can 100% recommend Bando PT/performance for any of your physical therapy needs. I have been dealing with nagging knee injuries from combat sports for over a year and Chris Poirier put together a phenomenal plan with great structure to get me back feeling right!
